Creed1

Teaching Tradition. Strengthening Community. Honoring Our Way of Life.

CREED1 was founded by Silver Galleto with a vision of helping revitalize traditional Pomo cultural practices through teaching, mentorship, and community engagement. The organization serves as a vehicle for sharing knowledge, supporting cultural education, and creating opportunities for Tribal communities to reconnect with traditional arts and teachings.

Through workshops and hands-on learning experiences, Silver has worked with Tribal communities and organizations throughout Northern California teaching traditional regalia making, basket weaving, gathering practices, and cultural knowledge. His workshops have included collaborations with communities such as Lytton Rancheria, Middletown Rancheria, Coyote Valley, Hopland, and intertribal cultural programs that bring together Tribal members from multiple communities.

The Meaning Behind CREED1

Creed 1 is a set of guiding principles and beliefs that shape how people live, teach, and care for one another.

For CREED1, those principles are rooted in Indigenous values:

  • Respect for ancestors

  • Community responsibility

  • Cultural preservation

  • Teaching future generations

  • Living in balance with tradition and community

CREED1 reflects the belief that traditional knowledge should remain accessible to the people and communities it belongs to.

Looking Forward

CREED1 is rooted in the belief that culture is living knowledge—something that must be practiced, shared, protected, and carried forward. Through teaching, mentorship, and community collaboration, Silver hopes to help ensure these traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.
