Cultural Revitalization, Education, Empowerment & Development (CREED1).

CREED1 was founded by Silver Galleto with a vision of helping revitalize traditional Pomo cultural practices through teaching, mentorship, and community engagement. The organization serves as a vehicle for sharing knowledge, supporting cultural education, and creating opportunities for Tribal communities to reconnect with traditional arts and teachings.

Teaching Tradition. Strengthening Community. Honoring Our Way of Life.

Through workshops and hands-on learning experiences, Silver has worked with Tribal communities and organizations throughout Northern California teaching traditional regalia making, basket weaving, gathering practices, and cultural knowledge. His workshops have included collaborations with communities such as Lytton Rancheria, Hopland, and ICFPP Indian Child Family Preservation Program and have served tribal members from; Kashaya, Dry Creek, Cloverdale, Coyote Valley and Lytton that bring together Tribal members from multiple communities.

CREED1 is available to work with public, private, and charter schools within the Pomo area to share our unique history and culture from the tribal perspective.  CREED1 is also availalble to consult with museums and universities that house our Pomo baskets, regalia, and other sacred objects.

The Meaning Behind CREED1

CREED1 stands for Cultural Revitalization, Education, Empowerment & Development.

Founded by Silver Galleto, CREED1 was created to support the preservation and revitalization of Indigenous culture through education, mentorship, and community engagement. The organization serves as a pathway for sharing traditional knowledge, creating learning opportunities, and helping Tribal communities strengthen connections to culture, identity, and one another.

Looking Forward

At its core, CREED1 is guided by Indigenous values:

  • Respect for ancestors and traditional knowledge

  • Community responsibility and service

  • Cultural preservation and revitalization

  • Education and mentorship for future generations

  • Empowerment through learning and leadership

  • Sustainable development that benefits Tribal communities

CREED1 is rooted in the belief that culture is living knowledge—something that must be practiced, shared, protected, and carried forward. Through teaching, mentorship, and community collaboration, Silver hopes to help ensure these traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.
